One of the towns closest to the Rural house the birds, almost a stone's throw, is Hontanar, one of the favorite destinations of those who come to this area in search of tranquility. From this town, surrounded by high mountains, you can contemplate beautiful landscapes from some of its peaks, such as the Corral of songs, the cliff of the stops, and the Telerook or Pico de milliner.

In its surroundings you can also enjoy the continuous murmur of the passage of the water of the rivers Cedea, Esten, Majadillas and Torcón, and its different tributaries.

Noteworthy is the archeological site of Malamoneda which we already talked about in another entrance, and deserves special mention.
